Course Description

In healthcare, individuals are often tapped for supervisory roles based on their technical skills, but rarely given adequate time and training to develop leadership skills. This 6-month, hybrid, cohort-based program, specifically designed for the unique and nuanced nature of the healthcare environment, empowers you to effectively lead individuals, teams, and organizations. Through a combination of in-person and virtual learning, you’ll gain practical knowledge and skills.

What You'll Learn:

  • Explore the unique, complex challenges facing healthcare leaders and study the competencies needed to address them.
  • Identify your leadership strengths, core values, and development areas, and consider how these apply to work in healthcare fields.
  • Develop your emotional intelligence to lead more effectively under stress.
  • Gain tools to build cohesive teams and collaborate in remote and in-person environments.
  • Enhance your interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Create inclusive cultures in which people of diverse identities, backgrounds and abilities can thrive.
  • Learn strategies to problem solve and manage change.

Ideal Candidates:

  • Diverse healthcare professionals
    • Including, but not limited to, physicians, nurses/nurse practitioners, hospital/clinic administrators & managers, dentists, orthodontists, physician assistants, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, mental health practitioners and more.
  • New healthcare supervisors and team leaders looking to develop leadership skills as they advance their career.
  • Experienced healthcare leaders seeking to refresh and enhance their leadership skills regardless of how long they've been in a managerial role.
