About the Program
The Certificate in Servant Leadership is a 14-week, online program designed to help you explore servant leadership with a focus on application to real life. Through company case-studies, leader interviews, group discussions and more, you’ll not only shape your leadership identity, but develop a practical toolkit for applying servant leadership to your organization and beyond.
Servant leadership is a time-tested leadership disposition based on the practice of “serving first.” Espoused by well-known companies such as REI and Nordstrom, servant leadership is neither a “soft” nor naïve form of leadership; rather, it’s one in which the well-being and growth of people and organizations are kept at the center of all decisions.

Format
The Certificate in Servant Leadership is an entirely online program with a structured curriculum. You’ll have flexibility to complete coursework independently, with opportunities to build relationships with your instructor and peers.

- Online learning throughout the duration of the program
Credits
- Graduates receive a Certificate in Servant Leadership from Gonzaga University and and 8 Continuing Education credits provided on a Gonzaga University transcript.
- Apply up to 3 semester credits toward completion of a Masters in Organizational Leadership, Masters in Communication and Leadership, or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at Gonzaga, contingent upon admission and within five (5) years of certificate completion. (Note: Learners are responsible for confirming whether this certificate counts towards their organization's tuition reimbursement program (if applicable) or towards professional licensures, certifications or degree requirements at other universities.)
